This application presents a comprehensive overview of duct construction and reinforcement options based on specified duct dimensions and system pressure classifications. Designed to streamline the selection process, it minimizes the time typically spent consulting extensive tables and technical texts by providing a curated list aligned with widely recognized standards.

The tool derives its recommendations from galvanized steel duct sheets conforming to ASTM A653 and A924 standards. While it serves as a valuable guide, it is important to acknowledge that it does not encompass all aspects of duct construction. Proper design should always incorporate relevant standards and engineering judgment to ensure safety and compliance.

Key features include:

• Selection of duct sizes ranging from 2" to 120”
• Support for pressure classes of 0.5 in.wg, 1 in.wg, 2 in.wg, 3 in.wg, and 4 in.wg
• Display of weight per linear foot for each duct option
• Calculation of required duct gauge and reinforcement spacing
• Visual representations of reinforcement types along with dimensional details
• User-friendly interface designed for ease of use

Planned enhancements include:

1. Inclusion of SI units for measurements
2. Expanded pressure class options
3. Capability for users to save and retrieve duct data for future reference
4. Addition of further reinforcement options, such as tie-rodding
